Veale Studios Ltd
Website privacy policy
How Veale Studios Ltd handles information when you visit this website or contact us.
Who is responsible
Veale Studios Ltd is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. Contact support@vealestudios.co.uk for privacy questions and requests. Our registered number, jurisdiction and office address are on the company information page.
This notice covers this website and enquiries sent to our support email. Game-specific information is in the Born of the Damned privacy policy.
Information and purposes
When you email us, we receive your email address, name if supplied, message, attachments and any device or purchase information you choose to include. We use this to answer you, investigate issues and keep an appropriate record of the enquiry.
Visiting a website involves sending technical information to its hosting provider, including your IP address, the requested page, request time and browser information. This is used to deliver pages and protect the service.
Our lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests to respond to general enquiries, maintain useful support records and protect the website. Those interests are running the studio and providing reliable support. Where an enquiry relates to a contract with you, we may process information where necessary to perform that contract. We also process information when required to comply with a legal obligation.
Optional website analytics, when enabled and accepted, rely on your consent. You can refuse them without affecting your access to the website.
Analytics and storage
Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics loads only if you enable it on our Cookies & storage page. It measures page visits, referrers and performance on eligible visits without advertising profiles. Cloudflare receives page and performance information; network requests disclose your IP address. Your choice is held for 90 days and can be withdrawn at any time. No marketing trackers are used. It does not create advertising profiles, provide a newsletter or require a visitor account. See Cookies & storage technologies for the current position.
Service providers and disclosure
Our business email is provided through Google Workspace. Cloudflare provides this website’s Pages hosting, content delivery and network security, and processes the technical requests needed to serve and protect it. Optional website analytics are also provided by Cloudflare, only when you enable them. Access to correspondence is limited to people and service providers who need it to deal with the enquiry or operate our services.
We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.
International processing
Cloudflare and Google Workspace operate internationally and may process information outside the UK. Their data-processing terms provide for applicable adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards, including the UK Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Details are available in Cloudflare’s data-processing terms and Google’s data-processing terms. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your information.
How long we keep information
Support correspondence is kept for the time needed to resolve the enquiry and deal with related follow-up. Information may be kept longer where needed for a legal obligation, dispute or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The nature of the enquiry, sensitivity of the information and continuing need determine the retention period.
We do not run a separate website visitor database or export raw access logs. Cloudflare retains operational and security information according to its service and security purposes, the sensitivity of the information and applicable legal requirements; see its privacy policy. For optional Web Analytics, Cloudflare documents seven days of unsampled measurements and access to aggregated reporting for the previous six months. The 90-day choice stored in your browser is separate from those reporting periods.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email support@vealestudios.co.uk and tell us which processing you object to. We will consider your request and explain our response.
Your other rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where it applies. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email support@vealestudios.co.uk to exercise a right. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We will update this notice when our website or information practices change. The date shown on this page identifies the latest version.
